I started journaling in 2019, my grandma has just passed away and I was in a sad place, my friends @molly_robbins and @_mgenesis11 and I went on a target run and I picked up a journal and some pens from the dollar spot section-
I didn’t think much of it- there was no guide, I just wanted to take my mind off of things and find some positivity to my day.
I looked to Pinterest for motivational quotes and doodled my way through the sad moments ☁️
They eventually turned into reflections, and a safe space for me to talk about all the feelings I usually kept bottled up 😵💫
A few sentences turned into pages now I have stacks of notebooks where I have manifested and reflected on all the happy, sad, angry, scary, boring, exciting, and big moments of my life.
Journaling is my daily commitment to me, my me time and it has changed my life 🤍⚡️
I’ve gotten to know myself and create a healthier relationship with my thoughts.
This is a habit that will last a lifetime and I encourage you to begin your #journaling journey!
This is something you do for yourself and only you! Your safe space💕
I hope this helps you in making journaling your new you time 🤍✨⚡️
When I felt like I had things to say but no one to say them to I wrote There was no guide, just me and a blank slate What was once a few sentences turned into a page and what was once once in a while became everyday my moments dedicated to me, dedicated to getting to know myself my worries,my fears, my goals, mantras, visions, doddles all in one place My tears and a million coffee stains my journal became an expression of me and my journals have become a part of history I look back at them when I need reminder of who I am and who I used to be and in my very first journal I wrote “to all that I am and all that I am yet to be.”
